Brief biography of Joseph Audie

Assistant Professor of Biochemistry, Sacred Heart University
Director of Research & Fellow, Institute for the Study of Nature

Dr. Joe Audie completed his Ph.D. in computational biophysics at SUNY Stony Brook in the Fall of 2006. The major result of his research to date is a novel free energy function for explaining and predicting protein-protein and protein-peptide binding affinities. The function has been thoroughly validated, outperforms existing functions, and is well suited to solve protein-ligand design and discovery problems. Joe currently teaches bio-chemistry and bio-physics at Sacred Heart University in Connecticut, and is also involved in pharmaceutical research and development based on his academic research in computational biophysics.
