News and events relating to the ISN are listed here in reverse chronological order

Due to scheduling and other difficulties, the ISN was not able to organize a summer confernence in 2010. We hope to be back in 2011—stay tuned!

The ISN held its third annual Summer Seminar on "Reduction, Emergence, and Essence" June 15-19, 2009 at MIT.

The ISN sponsored the Insurgent Science Series as part of MIT's January 2009 Independent Activities Period. The text of one lecture is available from the Series page.

The Institute held its second annual Summer Seminar (June 9-13, 2008) and Summer Conference (June 13-14, 2008) at the Massachussets Institute of Technology.

Dr. Bernhardt L. Trout of MIT joined forces with the ISN.

Other activities involving the Fellows of the ISN

Burt Hopkins spoke at St. John's College, Annapolis on Friday, April 3, 2009. His talk was entited "The Unwritten Teachings in Plato Symposium: Socrates' Initiation into the Arithmos of Eros."
